A synthetic material, Goretex has been used safely in the human body as a permanent implant for over 25 years. It is available as "softform" for use as a facial implant. The implant is placed under the skin via a minor surgical procedure performed in the office with local anesthesia. When placed under the skin it helps fill out deep facial creases such as frown lines, smile lines and marionette lines. It is also used for enhancing and defining the upper and lower lip.
